Book fair volunteers needed!

We need volunteers for the book fair!







We will be setting up on Friday morning and the fair runs Mon thru Friday all next week. Family night will be on Wednesday. The online link to sign up to help is athttp://vols.pt/eGxn5T

Walk Club!

Today was our first Wednesday Walk Club and we did great!













We had a good group of walkers on the track. If you would like to join us next week we meet outside after drop off. Hope to see you next Wednesday!

PTA Spring Candy Sale and Carnival Night!

The Candy sale features a wide range of delicious candies and nut products all selling for only $6 each. At the Carnival Night students will enjoy playing on a great assortment Carnival Games with AWESOME Game Prizes! Plus there will be Popcorn, Cotton Candy and other concessions available! 


TURN-IN DATE: Monday, Feb. 23. 2014. Return all copies of your ordering sheets. Your originals will be returned with your order. PLEASE PRINT your name, phone number, grade and teacher's name on your ordering sheets.

PAYMENT: Collect all money when you take your orders. Money is due when you turn in your orders on February 23rd. Please pay with cash, check or money order.
Make Checks and Money Orders payable to O. A. Thorp PTA.

PICK-UP DATE: Product delivery will be the week of March 23 (or sooner if ready).  A notice will besent home with details prior to the delivery date.

Friday the 13th is Family Movie Night!

Please join us for our Family Movie Night this Friday the 13th.
Doors open at 6pm and the movie will start at 6:30pm. Admission is FREE and beverages and popcorn will be sold. We look forward to seeing you!

Valentine Smencils are coming!

Starting February 9th the PTA will be selling Smencils for Valentine's Day during lunch.

They will cost $1.00 each and we have a limited supply. When they are gone, they are gone. We will also be selling the scented bookmarks which are part of the 8th graders fundraising. Bookmarks are $1.00 each as well.

Market Day update for payment at sales

A MESSAGE FROM MARKET DAY:

Dear Valued Customer,

Beginning with March pick-up dates on March 2, 2015, Market Day will no longer accept EBT/ Food Assistance cards as a payment option for purchases. The EBT option on the checkout page on marketday.com will be removed within the next week. We will continue to accept payment at order pick-up with cash or check (made payable to Market Day) or credit card on marketday.com. Gordon Food Service Stores will continue to accept EBT/Food Assistance cards on personal retail purchases made at their stores. A percentage of your purchase will go back to your organization. We encourage you to shop and support your school today. If you have questions, please contact Customer Services at 877-632-7753.

Volunteers Needed Tomorrow











Volunteers are needed for tomorrow at 11:30 to help with the candy sale orders. Please email the PTA at oathorppta@gmail.com if you can help. Small orders will be sent home with students, but larger orders will need to be picked up by parents. If you have any questions email the PTA. Thanks to the 152 students who participated in the sale and helped raise $5,000.00!

Carnival- Your Ticket to Read!













SPRING BOOK FAIR

DATES:
Monday April 4th, 8:30am-1pm
Tuesday April 5th, 9:30am-1pm
Wednesday April 6th, 12pm-6pm (Report Card Pick Up)
Friday April 8th, 8:30am-1pm
Monday April 11th, 8:30am-1pm Pack Up following
LOCATION:
Audutiorum and 1st floor hallway

Please note the fair will not be open on Thursday April 7th due to an assembly.

On Report Card Pick Up day there will be raffles, games, snacks and refreshments. This is a great opportunity to buy a book or two from teacher's wishlists for their classrooms.

The bookfair will also be open on Friday April 8th for Carnival Night from 4:30 to 7pm.

Please remember sales tax is not included in the price of books.
